This Privacy Policy explains how the LokMitra mobile application ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. The App is an internal office-management and public-grievance tool operated by the LokMitra office ("we", "us"). By using the App you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account & login details — your username, password, role, and constituency, used to authenticate you.
• Grievance & task data — the details, categories, ward/village, and status of grievances, tasks, meetings, and related records you enter.
• Attendance & leave data — your daily attendance and leave entries.
• Uploaded files — photos and documents (e.g. PDFs, images) you choose to attach to records.
• Device permissions — camera/photo access is used only when you choose to upload an image, and internet access to communicate with our server.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and provide access to features based on your role.
• To create, track, and manage grievances, tasks, attendance, and office records.
• To generate reports and documents (e.g. PDFs) within the App.

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell your data to any third party.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on our secure backend servers. Login credentials on your device are kept in the operating system's secure storage. We take reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorized access.

4. Data Sharing

Your information is accessible only to authorized office staff and administrators within the LokMitra organization for the purposes described above. We do not share it with external parties except where required by law.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain records for as long as needed to operate the office and meet legal requirements. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, contact us at the email below.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for authorized staff and users of the LokMitra office and is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
